Short Biography

Miquel Serra-Burriel holds a PhD in Economics (University of Barcelona), an MSc in Health Economics (Barcelona Graduate School of Economics), and a BSc in Economics (Pompeu Fabra University). In his professional life he has worked as a researcher for the Center for Research in Health and Economics at Pompeu Fabra University. His research interests lay on methodological, predictive, and causal studies in health and economic fields.
Together with his team, they study how healthcare policies, treatments, and interventions affect health outcomes and costs. They use data and the appropriate methods to find cause-and-effect relationships with the goal of information healthcare decisions. The work combines data science, health economics, and epidemiology.”
