Benjamin Victor Ineichen, PhD, MD, PD

Short Biography

Benjamin Victor Ineichen has an MD from the University of Zurich (10/2012) and a PhD in neuroscience from the ETH Zurich (10/2016), followed by postdoctoral research fellowships at the National Institutes of Health in the USA (NIH, 01/2017-07/2017 and 12/2020-05/2021) and at the Karolinska Institute in Sweden (01/2019-08/2020). He has worked for several years as clinical resident in neuroradiology. In June 2022, he was promoted to "Privatdozent" (private lecturer) at the University of Zurich in the topics neuroanatomy and neuroinflammation. Since 2022, he is leading a research group a the Center for Reproducible Science at the University of Zurich. He has a research track record in neuroscience/neuroimaging with a focus on both preclinical and clinical multiple sclerosis research as well as systematic review/evidence synthesis. His more recent research focuses on translational aspects of drug development in neuroscience, AI/automation in evidence synthesis, meta-science, and reproducibility aspects of science.
