Evaluation of the implementation of ZÄMEGOLAUFE in Uster and Horgen

Within the CAPACITY study, the community-based physical activity promotion intervention ZÄMEGOLAUFE was developed and successfully implemented for the first time in the Swiss town Wetzikon with active participation of elderly participants. It is now self-sustained in the community after withdrawal of the study team in 2017. Based on the experiences from the CAPACITY study and on the developed guidance manual to implement ZÄMEGOLAUFE in other communities, ZÄMEGOLAUFE is currently scaled-up in two other cities in the Canton of Zurich, Uster and Horgen (operative lead: Kaba Dalla Lana, by order of Sibylle Brunner, Division of Prevention and Health Promotion Canton of Zurich, EBPI). The project started on 8 May 2018 and 7 project aims and 10 mile stones were formulated to be achieved until 31 December 2018. The aim of this evaluation is to assess implementation outcomes and to derive conclusions which provide the basis to adapt the guidance manual.
