Division of Public & Organizational Health

The Division of Public & Organizational Health of the Center of Salutogenesis has a dual purpose:
- It advances the concept and measurements of Salutogenesis.
- It applies salutogenesis to study and improve the impact of the fast-transforming working life and organizations on employee health.
It focuses on psychosocial factors (Job-Demands-Resources) at work, basic needs of employees (DR-AMMA - Detachment, Relaxation, Autonomy, Mastery, Meaningfulness, Affiliation) and mental as well as social health outcomes.
It studies pro-active crafting of work and non-working life, co-creation of care processes and ways to create coherence as key intervention approaches. Together with public and private partners, the division also co-develops and tests related interventions.
The application areas include healthcare workers, employees with mental health issues, employees working with AI and students.
