Short Biography
Krenar Sherifi, MSc, is a psychologist and PhD candidate at the Life Science Zurich Graduate School (Epidemiology & Biostatistics Program, University of Zurich). His doctoral research is embedded in the NRP83 SNF-funded project "Gender & Life Course in Multiple Sclerosis (GeLiCo-MS): A gender-based life course perspective to improve health determinants and disease management", carried out within the Swiss Multiple Sclerosis Registry (SMSR) at the Epidemiology, Biostatistics and Prevention Institute (EBPI).
He studied psychology at the University of Zurich (BSc, MSc), with research experience in psychological methodology, statistics, and computational data analysis. His master's thesis examined reference category choice and its impact on the quality of point estimators, confidence intervals, and variable selection in lasso regression, while earlier research included simulation studies on variable selection bias in random forests. Alongside his academic path, he has been deeply engaged in student leadership, most recently as president of psyCH-Students, the Umbrella Association of Swiss Psychology Students, where he led strategic reorganization and expanded national and international networks.
