400th Pre-schooler Enrolled in National Prevention Study

The Swiss Preschoolers’ Health Study, SPLASHY, celebrates the enrollment of its 400th participant. Supported by the Swiss National Science Foundation, the study examines the influence of physical activity on the psychological health and physical and social development of young children. EBPI researchers involved in the study are led by PD Dr. med Susi Kriemler. Kriemler’s group is one of four Swiss research teams contributing to this important effort to measure health determinants of young children. Additional childcare centers will be invited to participate in the SPLASHY project in the fall. See the SPLASHY website for more details.
