Short Biography

In January 2018, I joined the Department of Public and Organizational Health at the EBPI in Zurich as a PhD candidate. After studies in the PhD programs of the EBPI at the Life Science Zurich Grad School (University and ETH Zurich) and the Swiss School of Public Health SSPH+, I defended my thesis in February 2021.

I am interested in proactivity (crafting), its predictors and its relation to health, well-being, and performance outcomes. My team and I are investigating this in a research project funded by the Swiss National Science Foundation and the Dutch Research Council (craft4health).

In addition, I took the chance to be part of the Digital Society Initiative - Community Work at the University of Zurich. As part of a collaboration, we conduct a global survey of the future of work.

A collaboration with the University Hospital for Mental Health, Bern resulted in a rapid review and meta-analysis on mental health during the COVID-19 pandemic.

As part of our team, I teach at UZH, Faculty of Science (MNF), Faculty of Medicine, and the ETH Zurich (Department of Management, Technology, and Economics).

Before coming to Zurich, I studied Social Sciences (Political Science, Psychology and Sociology) at the University of Mannheim and Psychology at the Albert-Ludwigs-University Freiburg, Germany. I was a research associate and lecturer at the Albert-Ludwigs-University Freiburg and lectured at the University of Applied Science Freiburg and the University of Education Heidelberg.
