Manuela has expertise in psychiatric nursing and psychosocial counselling and is specialised in the fields of sexually transmitted infections (STI) and drug addiction. In previous positions, she was the Lead nurse of an STI & PrEP clinic, a substitution program and managed a psychosocial counselling service. After joining EBPI in 2018, she has worked clinically as an Advanced Practice Nurse (APN) and is the Leading Nurse of the Study Centre. In this position, she is responsible for implementing various studies in house. Her research experience is focused on HIV and STIs and more recently, COVID-19.
