Knowledge and perception of vaccination among adolescents

As part of the measles elimination campaign in the Canton of Zurich, knowledge and perception of vaccination for adolescents attending the first year of apprenticeship training during school year 2013-14 were evaluated using a questionnaire. We examined their basic understanding of the measles disease and the measles vaccine and their most important sources of information regarding vaccination. We also looked at the potential impact the Internet and social media outlets have as  sources of information regarding vaccinations for these adolescents. Finally, their perception of the measles elimination campaign was also analyzed.
