Study of mercury in Valais shows no evidence of health risks from mercury contaminated soil

Researchers from EBPI together with international collaborators completed an epidemiological study about possible health risks of partly elevated mercury levels
in soil in Visp and Raron, Valais. They conducted human biomonitoring for mercury and questionnaires, and reviewed relevant scientific literature and other studies conducted in this setting. The results did not show evidence for current relevant
health risks due to environmental exposure resulting from mercury in soil.
