EBPI researchers Sabine Rohrmann and David Faeh, together with colleagues
from Zurich University of Applied Sciences (ZHAW), were awarded funding by the Federal Food Safety and Veterinary Office (Bundesamt für Lebensmittelsicherheit
und Veterinärwesen, BLV). Their three-year study will be conducted in the framework of a doctoral thesis. It will examine in detail the dietary habits of the Swiss population based on various data sources. Making use of the recently published "menuCH"(https://www.blv.admin.ch/blv/de/home/lebensmittel-und-ernaehrung/ernaehrung/menuch/menu-ch-ergebnisse-ernaehrung.html) data, the first Swiss dietary survey, the team will characterize dietary patterns of the language regions in Switzerland
and further investigate the link between lifestyle, diet, and chronic disease.
