EBPhD student success in SNSF Doc.Mobility mechanism

The EBPI congratulates doctoral students in the EBPhD program (the structured PhD program in Epidemiology and Biostatistics) who have received funding from the Swiss National Science Foundation to enhance their PhD studies with scientific stays abroad.

Salome Adam, PhD student in the Epidemiology department, will spend 6 months
at the Netherlands Comprehensive Cancer Organization (Integraal Kankercentrum Nederland – IKNL) in Eindhoven, Netherlands. She will conduct a study analyzing the association of cancer-related fatigue and recurrence-free survival.

Muriel Buri, PhD student in the Biostatistics department, will be based at the Faculty of Statistics and Econometrics at the University of Göttingen, Germany. Her study develops statistical models to better measure the effectiveness of an antibody therapy to improve motor function and quality of life for patients paralyzed after a spinal cord injury.
