Short Biography

Originally from the US, Ashley studied Biomedical Engineering at The College of New Jersey and received her Master’s in Bioengineering Innovation and Design from Johns Hopkins University. Prior to joining the EBPI in 2019, she spent five years in industry developing best practices for the use of Remote Patient Monitoring technologies in pharmaceutical clinical trials. At the EBPI, she is pursuing her PhD on the Mobilise-D project under the under the supervision of Dr. Anja Frei and Prof. Milo Puhan. In this project, the EBPI is working with partner institutions across Europe to qualify real-world walking speed (as measured by wearable sensors) as a digital mobility endpoint for pharmaceutical clinical trials.
