Giulia Pestoni studied Human Movement Science at ETH Zurich, focusing on exercise physiology and nutrition. After her master’s degree, she completed a Master of Advanced Studies (MAS) in Nutrition and Health at ETH Zurich. She joined the Epidemiology, Biostatistics and Prevention Institute as PhD candidate in July 2017, under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Sabine Rohrmann. Her project focused on the characterization of food consumption and dietary patterns in Western populations. She completed the PhD in October 2020 and obtained the SSPH+ Public Health Certificate in parallel to PhD studies. Currently, she is a Postdoctoral researcher at EBPI and a research at the Swiss Distance University of Applied Sciences (Fernfachhochschule Schweiz, FFHS).
