Nena Karavasiloglou joined the Epidemiology, Biostatistics and Prevention
Institute as a Ph.D. student in December 2017. Previously, she had received a diploma in Nutrition and Dietetics from Harokopio University and an MSc in Nutrition and Health, specializing in Epidemiology and Public Health from Wageningen University. Before joining the EBPI she conducted an internship at the International Agency for Research on Cancer. Nena completed her Ph.D. on the epidemiology of breast cancer in situ in 2020 and since March 2021 has continued in the EBPI as a postdoctoral researcher. Her research focuses on the diet in Switzerland, various health promoting guidelines, and their link with cancer. Her research interests lie in the prevention of NCDs and associated mortality and the promotion of healthy nutrition.
