Nena Karavasiloglou joined the Epidemiology, Biostatistics and Prevention
Institute as PhD candidate in December 2017, under the supervision of
Prof. Dr. Sabine Rohrmann. Nena received a diploma in Nutrition and Dietetics
from Harokopio University in Athens. She then completed an MSc in Nutrition and Health, specializing in Epidemiology and Public Health at Wageningen University
and conducted an internship at the International Agency for Research on Cancer.
Her previous projects focused on the lifestyle patterns colorectal cancer patients adopt after diagnosis and on the association between pre-diagnostic serum calcium levels and the risk of colorectal cancer development. Her PhD project focuses on
the epidemiology of in-situ breast cancer in the Swiss population.
