Short Biography
Anja Frei works as a senior researcher at the Epidemiology, Biostatistics and Prevention Institute of the University of Zurich. She graduated and completed
a PhD in Psychology with a specialization in social and health psychology at the University of Zurich and a MSc in Epidemiology at the London School of Hygiene
& Tropical Medicine. Her main research areas are chronic disease epidemiology
with focus on intervention studies in the field of physical activity and health behavior
in chronically ill patients, development and assessment of measurement methods (patient-reported outcomes, acute events, physical activity) and non-drug
interventions and monitoring in COPD and elderly people. She is also
involved in smoking cessation counselling programs.
