Dialogue Days Background:
These Dialogue Days are hosted by the University of Zürich, in close collaboration
with Makerere University and the Infectious Diseases Institute in Kampala, Uganda. Started in 2014, the event originated as a way to build future research collaborations between the two universities, as well as to encourage dialogue and interactions between participants. Since its inauguration, there have been subsequent events
in 2015 and 2017; each one building on the work from previous iterations. With this productive and partnership on equal terms, we have been able to draw increased attention both within our academic community and in the public at large, as reflected by an article in the «New York Times» earlier this year. This year we hope to
build upon this interest by opening the event to the public.
Meeting Venue:
Monday, September 9th and Wednesday, September 11th
The sessions on Monday the 9th and Wednesday the 11th are aimed at members
of the scientific community. This includes students, professors, post-docs, etc
from Universities in and around Zurich and the global community.

To get to the meeting venue from the Zurich main train station you can take several trains (S-Bahn) to «Stadelhofen», get out of the station, head to Bellevue Platz
and from there take tram 5 (direction «Kirche Fluntern») or tram 9 (direction «Hirzenbach») to the stop «Kantonsschule». Find the meeting building at
the other street side.
Tuesday, September 10th
The sessions on Tuesday the 10th are open to the general public.

The Careum Auditorium is located at Pestalozzistrasse 11- in the educational district
at the heart of Zurich. It's only a few steps away from the tram stop «Platte». Given
the limited number of parking spaces, we recommend you arrive by public transport.
Accommodation and Transport:
If you are traveling to attend Dialogue Days, we kindly ask all
participants to arrange transport and accommodation themselves.
